A Tour of My Dollhouse Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room

I got my dollhouse in April 2023. It’s actually a dollhouse bookshelf – so it’s practical, right? It was recommended to me by Amazon. You know how they are – you’re looking at something and suddenly they say, “People who looked at this item also looked at this item.”

When I saw the dollhouse recommendation, I clicked away. I didn’t want a dollhouse! But it stuck in my mind for weeks, and then months, until I finally had to buy it. I haven’t been sorry. It has brought me so much unexpected joy!

I thought I’d show you all the rooms in my dollhouse, beginning with the kitchen.

The kitchen is decorated with a cheerful cherry theme, which reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen. I designed the wallpaper and the throw rug.

The refrigerator is stocked full of yummy snacks.

The cupboards are full of canned goods.

The kitchen is equipped with everything a doll could possibly want!

The dolls always have a fun time cooking various dishes for their parties.

Carrots were on the menu when the Bunny family was here.

Next, we have the dining room. I think the dining room is the busiest room in the dollhouse. The dolls love having parties, and everyone gathers here for food and conversation.

Here are Lacey and Larry Leprechaun at the St. Patrick’s Day party. They were kind enough to share a piece of cake with me.

Here are Benny Bunny, Little Chick, Betsy Bunny, and Jane Austen having a Fall Harvest party. (Yes, the Jane Austen action figure doll lives here! It’s such an honor!)

Here’s this year’s Halloween party, which was very well attended.

Here are Betsy Bunny, Gnorman Gnome, and Benny Bunny having a pancake party.

We had a family of doggies here for the Easter party.

All the gnomes hosted last year’s Christmas party.

Next, we’ll look at the living room, which is a relaxed place where the dolls can hang out together while doing a variety of activities.

There’s a couch and two chairs in one corner so that the dolls can visit. These three gnomes have got a ZZ Top record (their favorite band) playing on the old Victrola.

I wonder why they love ZZ Top so much.

There’s a lovely desk with a telephone on top, and drawers full of items for writing letters.

Jane Austen spends a lot of time at the desk. Here she is autographing a copy of Pride and Prejudice for one of her fans.

Next to the desk is another desk. This desk has a box of art supplies and a replica of The Mona Lisa to offer artistic inspiration.

The Christmas tree is always set up in the living room in December.

The newest addition to the dollhouse is an exercise bike. The dolls are planning to build their strength and stamina this coming year!
