I got the cutest little desk for my dollhouse! In fact, it’s so cute that I think it deserves a blog post all to itself!
The top opens up to reveal a lovely writing surface, cubbies, and drawers.
The drawers open up with teeny, tiny handles. I’ve filled them with various supplies.
The desk had a bit of an adventure in getting to me. I ordered it from Amazon, and the tracking information showed it going through all the usual steps until it said it was on its way to my local post office. And then it didn’t get delivered. I waited and waited. About a week later, the tracking information said it was lost in transit, and Amazon offered me a refund.
Of course, the day after the refund was issued, the package arrived!! I contacted Amazon via chat, and their very polite agent told me to keep the package and the refund! Wow!
So, my dolls will enjoy their cute little desk!
Here are some fun things I found on the web:
- I’m so inspired by Jake Parker’s blog post called On What the Audience Wants.
- I loved watching Anne Butera’s June Garden Tour video.
- I was enchanted with this virtual tour of THE Little House on the Prairie and Oleson’s Store!
- I found ASMR At the Museum’s tour of a 17th-century dollhouse so relaxing and interesting.
- Spoonflower just released their Autumn/Winter 2023 trend report. It’s fun to see what people are looking for!
Hi Michelle! Sorry to be so late to comment! I love your little desk too! Bunny is so perfectly cute sitting there to write her notes. I LOVE that you have animal characters in your dollhouse. The story of the desk getting lost and then arriving is really amazing! 🙂 It makes it extra special!
Thank you, Betsy! I think I remember seeing an antique desk on your blog, which inspired me to search for one for myself! Mine isn’t antique, but now there’s a lovely story behind it to give it extra special meaning to me!
Michelle, I love these desks and my mother has her grandmother’s old one so seeing this cute one in miniature gives me a warm feeling! What a sweet and special addition and wow, good service from Amazon as well! 😀
Thank you, Annika! I’m delighted that you stopped by and I appreciate your lovely comment! I also have a similar desk that I love to use for drawing and writing, so it was really fun to get a miniature one!
I am in love with your little bunny! She is just so sweet and looks like she will plan a great many adventures at that fancy new desk of hers!
Thank you, Michele! I’m sure she’s making big plans! 🤣❤️
Well I liked it. It sure looks like it was difficult to put together. Kind of like a ship in a bottle sort of thing.

I used tweezers and hot glue to put the little items in the desk. I ruined the tweezers, but at least I didn’t burn my fingers (for once!).
THE LITTLE DESK!!!
Oh, that is SO cute and I love all the little things in them. Ahhhh! This is adorable!
Thank you, Nicole! It was so fun to fill the drawers with little items – I can’t believe all these miniatures with working parts!
The new desk is so cute!
The Little House on the Prairie sets!! As a child, that was one of my favorite shows.
I also loved the dollhouse ASMR. It was playing in the background while I worked on other things in my office. ❤️
Thank you, Kari! Little House was one of my favorite shows too, so seeing the full house layout was really fun!
