I Hope You Had a Lovely Gnomevember!

For me, November is always about gnomes! I love these mysterious little dudes (and dudettes) with hidden eyes, bushy beards or braids, and pointy hats.

Gnomes are so much fun to draw!

I've drawn a pumpkin house with a door and two windows. A gnome is looking out one window. A second gnome is standing outside the house.
There’s Gnomeplace like home! I love gnome puns!

Gnomes are also fun to sew!

I love to see gnomes out in the world, in people’s yards, on receptionists’ desks, and in people’s blogs. I love it when Nicole (or Gnicole, as I like to call her) writes about her gnomes!

It’s only fitting that this month, there’s a family reunion of gnomes staying in the dollhouse. (A group of gnomes is called a Donsy!) This Donsy of Gnomes had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with a huge feast. I had ordered them a Thanksgiving turkey, but it didn’t arrive in time. They didn’t care at all and enjoyed their Thanksgiving salads and bread very much.

A table laden with mini plates of salads and a breadboard with bread, a knife, and bread slices on it.

Mama gnome enjoyed working in the kitchen, as cold salads and bread were easy to prepare!

Who ordered the pizza? Well, you can’t go wrong with a Thanksgiving pizza!

A mini pizza sitting on a side table.

One gnome decided to take a bath before dinner.

A gnome in a bathtub full of foamy bubbles.

One gnome was so tired that he went to bed right after dinner.

I hope that everyone who celebrates it had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Thank you for being one of my blog readers and friends! I am thankful for you!

  1. I’ve checked a few times, and didn’t see any new posts. Dang – I can’t believe I missed this one by like a week. The end of NaBloPoMo was getting pretty hairy. These gnomes are super cute. The salads – so fun. They look good enough to eat. I’m glad they didn’t get upset over not having turkey for Thanksgiving.

    1. Thank you, Ernie! I think I only wrote two posts during November! Everyone with their NaBloPoMo posts kept me super busy reading and commenting, plus regular life did too!

  2. Hi Michelle…. I am sorry I am so Late to the Gnome Party! But Clearly, everygome had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Your donsy of Gnomes is really Really cute! Their Hats!!! Not to mention Momma gnome’s braids!!! And I understand being happy to Just prepare a lot of Salads and bread…. (having done the whole feast myself at our house… plus a couple of batches of Christmas Bread!!) Whew… no wonder I am running late! :):) And the Wizard Gnome (in the Starry hat of course….!) looks as though he is having very Magical dreams! As Always I love the Gnome world you have created in your Dollhouse…. it is just perfect! :):):)

    1. Thank you so much, Betsy! It sounds like you had a wonderful, busy Thanksgiving! And Christmas will be here before we know it!

  3. Hope you & the gnomes had a fantastic thanksgiving Michelle, it certainly looks like they enjoyed themselves. Loving the fairaisle patterns ❤️You’re in a league of your gnome when it comes to the gnome-life (gnome pun intended) ☺️

  4. Nearly as wonderful as your dollhouse is Nicole’s comment. I knew she was going to be in raptures of delight.
And I am too. This is just cute beyond words. I love all the little details and the character that each gnome seems to have.
I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE CHRISTMAS IN THE GNOME HOUSE. They need like their own YouTube or TikTok channel…

  5. I like gnomes and yours are the best! What a fun post, you’ve made me smile. Your details of gnome-life are spot on. Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.

[I realized from a comment you left on Nicole’s post that you’d left Threads. I was happy to read you were okay, I’d wondered where you were. I’m sorry to see you go, but understand, I could be following your lead soon enough.]

    1. Thank you, Ally! I’m happy that the gnomes made you smile. I decided that Threads just wasn’t for me, which is too bad, because the name Threads is so perfect. I think you’re the only one who noticed that I left! 🤣 So that says a lot!

  6. A DONSY OF GNOMES!!!
I don’t know how you do it but every time I think this can’t get any more delightful, somehow it does! This delighted me to my absolute core. THEY ARE EATING TINY SALADS!!!! And pizza! And the one taking a bath, Michelle, every single detail is perfection. Still trying to figure out how to shrink myself down so I can live with you and your gnomes. This is too amazing. TOO AMAZING! You always know how to bring happiness to my day. Gnomevember was, of course, great for me, as you know! I’m considering taking my new gnome with me on every trip so I can photograph him in different places.

    1. Gnicole, I think taking photos of your gnome on future trips is a wonderful idea! And he hardly takes up any room, so he’ll be the perfect traveling companion! I can’t wait to see his adventures!
I know, the tiny salads are so cute, I almost fainted when I opened the box. The tiny olives, peppers, and carrots look so real!
