It took a while, but I finally decorated my dollhouse kitchen, and I’m so delighted with how it turned out!
Why did it take me so long? Well, I got a little stuck and overwhelmed because I discovered the whole world of miniatures! There are SO MANY cute miniature things to buy for dollhouses, and I couldn’t decide what I wanted. I had choice overload!
So I took it slow. I ordered a few items at a time, put them in my dollhouse, and imagined what else would look good. It didn’t take long before I had an amazing amount of cute stuff in my dollhouse kitchen! And I love it all! Every tiny item gives me a thrill of delight whenever I look in the kitchen.
To top it off, I got the cutest printable SOS cleaning pad box from Jodi at My Miniature Madness. You can read her blog post, see all her adorable kitchen items, and find the link to the free printable on her blog post.
I had so much fun decorating my dollhouse kitchen, and I’m actually kind of sorry to be done with it! But no worries, I still have the dining room to decorate. And I might already be re-decorating some of the other rooms!
Have you ever had choice overload by anything? I know it’s a lucky problem to have. It seems like since the pandemic, we’ve had fewer and fewer choices in stores. I’m now an old lady ranting about “the good old days when the shelves were always stocked with 50 brands of whatever.” So, I was surprised by the amount of choices available in Dollhouse Land!
Wishing you a great week!
This may be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Seriously! This looks like something off a movie set (Barbie, maybe?) – everything looks so perfect. Wow. I’m very impressed and love how much joy you got from creating it and GET now that it’s all completed. Gold stars.
Thank you so much, Elisabeth! That’s a really nice compliment! I feel so happy when I walk by my dollhouse, and I’m still adding little things here and there.
Hi Michelle! You’ve done an exceptionally great job on that kitchen – WOW! So many tiny details taken into consideration, I’m in awe!
Thank you so much, Shelley! It’s way too much fun!

MICHELLE. Look at that kitchen! Omg. Everything is the cutest thing ever, every time you post, but HONEST TO GOD THIS IS THE CUTEST THING EVER. I cannot even with this. I am literally losing my mind over here. LOOK AT THE LITTLE TINY JARS OMGGGG. The fridge. The cake. THE AVOCADO. The cherry themed wallpaper and pictures on the wall. I just cannot. I JUST CANNOT DEAL I AM IN CUTENESS OVERLOAD. No wonder you had choice overload. I have CUTENESS OVERLOAD. Welp, it was good knowing you, I am dead now, dead from cuteness. I want to live in that kitchen!
Nicole, you always know just how to brighten my day! It’s so fun to have someone be as delighted with my dollhouse as I am! Thank you for this awesome comment – it exactly describes how I feel every time I look at my dollhouse! ❤️😊
Your kitchen is absolutely adorable, Michelle! I love the cherry wallpaper, and the white cabinets keep it feeling fresh! It still surprises me how much “stuff” a mini kitchen needs, but it is so much fun to plan and amass each tiny treasure. All you are missing now is an apron rack which you could slide in next to the fridge, and of course a variety of aprons (including a cherry patterned one). Your little chefs must be delighted!
Thank you so much, Jodi! You’re so right – I need a variety of aprons in my dollhouse kitchen! My little chefs will be much happier with aprons!
